On the morning of January 13, in the city of Vinh, Nghe An Province held a conference to announce the Planning of Nghe An Province for the period 2021 – 2030, vision 2050 and the overall adjustment project of the General Planning for the construction of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone until 2040.

The conference was connected online to 21 districts, cities, and towns nationwide with the participation of leaders of districts, cities, town party committees, People’s Councils, People’s Committees, the Fatherland Front Central Committee, officials, civil servants and public employees at district, and commune levels.
Within the framework of the conference program, leaders of Nghe An province awarded Investment Registration Certificates to representatives of 6 projects in the Southeast Economic Zone with a total investment of 390 million USD, equivalent to more than 9,555 billion VND. Besides 5 foreign direct investment projects (FDI) that were granted the Investment Registration Certificate, 1 project invested by domestic investor also granted the Investment Registration Certificate during the conference was Hoang Mai II Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project of Hoang Thinh Dat Corporation in Quynh Vinh commune, Hoang Mai town, belonging to the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone, with a total investment of 1,900 billion VND and a land use scale of 334.79 ha.

It is known that 2023 was a successful year for attracting investment for Nghe An province. In particular, foreign investment (FDI) attraction has seen remarkable growth strengthening Nghe An’s position in the top 10 localities attracting the largest FDI in the country, with 18 new projects and 12 capital increase projects. The total newly granted and adjusted capital is nearly 1.6 billion USD, exceeding 219% of the 2023 target and helping Nghe An, for the first time, join the “billion club” in terms of FDI attraction. With the Hoang Mai I Industrial Park project, Hoang Thinh Dat Corporation also contributes to the mutual success of Nghe An province in terms of FDI attraction with 8 investment projects having a total accumulated investment capital as of 2023 exceeding 700 million USD.
